A big thank you again for your participation in the Mental Health Think Tank on the 11th September. Attached is the summary of the discussion for your information. As promised, we intend to progress discussions to better consolidate a mental health support system in the Bright and surrounds region of Alpine Shire. At the conclusion of our session on the 11th, we spoke briefly to some upcoming events and services available in the area for mental health support. To reiterate and remind you all, here are the details again:
- Dadirri Mindfulness Workshop at the Bright Pavillion – 10th October at 6:30pm – this is a free session available to anyone and everyone! Flyer with details and registration link attached.
- A Little Bit of Relief Farmer’s Expo in Dederang on Friday 18th October – targeted at farmers, however all are welcome and mental health support services will be present at this event – more details can be found here – A Little Bit of Relief – Agricultural Expo | Engage Alpine (alpineshire.vic.gov.au)
- Mental Health & Wellbeing Connect – provides support services for people caring for loved ones with mental health and/or substance use issues. This service is delivered by Peer Support workers with lived experience, and they are beginning outreach services to the Alpine Shire. - Wellways – provide a couple of services to Alpine Shire:
